Caputo Brothers Creamery got its start after owners Rynn and Dan Caputo went to culinary school in Italy, and returned stateside to find that there was no good mozzarella to be found! The two enterprising foodies took matters into their own hands and started making their own fresh curd, which can be turned into mozzarella, straciatella, burrata, and a whole host of other 'pasta filata' cheeses.

Please note that curd ships frozen. When your package arrives, simply store the cheese in your freezer until you're ready to use it, or place in your refrigerator to thaw for use the following day. Frozen curd lasts for 6 months in the freezer.
